Knocking it off is actually a great idea

Thomas Friedman's complaint that Israel is behaving like a spoiled child is out of line with the facts, and disappointingly conventional.

A week ago I was quite amazed at one of Tom Friedman’s latest columns, titled “Just Knock It Off”, claiming that Israel is behaving like “a spoiled child”. And as the days pass, I am more and more amazed at this ridiculous claim, that may have had some connection to reality years ago, but is so far from the truth today that I cannot believe an intelligent columnist such as himself can cling to it with such passion.

Let’s take a look at how “spoiled” Israel really is lately, shall we?

According to yesterday’s Le Figaro, the French ministry of defense exposed a huge arms smuggling operation from Iran and Syria to the Hezbollah terrorist movement in Lebanon. Have you seen any reference to this in any major international media? Hmmm. Strange. Neither did I.
