Ceva wins PMC-Sierra VoIP licensing deal

PMC-Sierra will use the technology in its next generation system-on-chip devices for Fiber-To-The-Home applications.

Silicon intellectual property solution provider Ceva Inc. (Nasdaq:CEVA); LSE:CVA) said today that Internet infrastructure semiconductor solution provider PMC-Sierra licensed its voice over IP (VoIP) technology.

Ceva has licensed its CEVA-VoP voice-over-IP platform for use in PMC-Sierra's next generation system-on-chip devices for Fiber-To-The-Home applications. CEVA-VoP is a complete hardware and software VoIP solution designed to be deployed in integrated networking and VoP system-on-chips.

Ceva shares were down over 6% in morning trading on Nasdaq, falling to $21.09.
