Cellcom CEO: We still don't know what happened

Amos Shapira says the firm needs another three months to figure it out.

Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) CEO Amos Shapira told the Knesset Economic Affairs Committee that the company still could not explain the nationwide crash of its network in December, and that it would need three months to know for certain the cause of the crash.

Shapira told the committee that it had hired former Ministry of Communications director general Danny Rosen as an investigator and engineering advisor to look into the crash.

Economic Affairs Committee chairman Carmel Shama (Likud) initiated the committee meeting because of the severity of the network crash and Cellcom's inability to fix it within a reasonable time.
