Radcom wins $2.5m Latin American mobile carrier deal

Radcom also expects to win a follow-on order in 2012 worth an additional $3 million.

Radcom (Nasdaq: RDCM) is expanding its activities in Latin America. The new deal is worth $2.5 million with an expected follow-on order of $3 million in 2012.

The company, which provides service assurance solutions for communications service providers and equipment vendors, today reported it had won a new contract with one of Latin Americas' largest mobile carriers. The customer had previously selected Radcom's Service Assurance solution and has now decided to expand its implementation of Radcom's Mobile Data solution by adding full network coverage to its already implemented monitoring of 3G multimedia data services.

Several weeks ago Radcom reported winning a $2 million contract in Latin America, which is believed to be with a subsidiary of the mobile carrier in the current deal.

Radcom president and CEO David Ripstein said, "We are delighted that this major operator chose Radcom's solution again to monitor their network. Positive experience with Radcom's current implementation led this operator to make a long term investment in Radcom's solutions."

Radcom's share price closed at $8.39 on Nasdaq yesterday, giving a market cap of $50.75 million.
