BillGuard has developed technology to alert users of scams, fraud, and improper and incorrect charges on their credit cards.

BillGuard Inc. won second place at the TechCrunch Disrupt New York 2011, tying with application developer Sonar. Getaround won top prize. The six finalists also included another Israeli start-up Do@ Ltd.

Getaround is a car rental market place where you can rent a car by the day, hour or week through a smartphone app.

BillGuard, founded by CEO Yaron Samid and CTO Raphael Ouzan, has developed technology to alert users of scams, fraud, and improper and incorrect charges on their credit cards. The alerts are based on the collective knowledge of its users and millions of people posting billing complaints online
