Students and cottage cheese protest organizers will demonstrate Tuesday evening outside Tnuva Food Industries Ltd.'s factory. The boycott against the company's products is currently at its height and will continue until the Jewish holidays (September 28).
"Tnuva has become greedy. The only thing it thinks about is how to take advantage of its monopoly over dairy products. It has raised prices again and again since it was acquired by Apax Partners three years ago. On Tuesday, we will come to Tnuva's offices and we will demand lowering all prices. We will demand this and not the government, and not head of the Antitrust Authority. We, the consumers, are the ones who have the real power." This appeared on the Facebook page created for the protest.
Protest organizers are calling on the public to join the demonstration: "The public is invited to join the demonstration in protest against the exploitation, the robbery, the cynicism, and the greediness. Our agenda is simple - lowering the cost of living in Israel, and together we will succeed. The big moment is approaching - the moment we take back control into our own hands, the moment in which we wake up the last people who are slumbering, the moment when we say, No more! No more to the cartels that are exploiting us!"
