IAI unveils new airborne, ground, and naval systems

The new armored tank hunter/killer system, the RAM MK3, carries Nimrod short-range laser guided missiles

Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) (TASE: ARSP.B1) has unveiled a number of new airborne, ground, and naval systems. The company unveiled its new armored tank hunter/killer system, the RAM MK3 antitank system, which carries Nimrod short-range laser guided missiles carried on armored cars, at the Fidae Air Show in Santiago, Chile.

The new ELM-2222S Navguard naval missile warning radar used a phased array missile warning radar system for surface warships operating in both littoral and blue waters, which are faced with asymmetric warfare threats from irregular combat units, such as terrorists or pirates.

IAI also unveiled two new training systems, the UMT UAV training system, and the Multi-Service Integrated Network-based Exercise & Training System (MI-NET) virtual training solution. MI-NET, which will be presented at the Defexpo India 2012 exhibition in New Delhi this week.
