MoMinis Ltd. has completed another financing round, this time of $6 million. The current round, which follows a $4.5 million round earlier this year, was led by Gemini Israel Funds. The company has raised $15 million since it was founded from several investors, including BRM Capital, Mitsui Ventures, and private investors.
MoMinis, run by CEO Itzik Frid, develops a platform for developing casual games and adapting them to mobile phones. The platform helps developers create content that is automatically supported by Android devices, saving development and conversion time of games from telephone to telephone. When a game's development is completed, MoMinis participates in its commercialization through its distribution network. The company was founded by CTO Tzach Hadar, VP marketing Eyal Rabinovich, and VP R&D Zvi Rabinovich. The company plans to continue expanding its platform to Windows Phone 8 devices and iPhones.
MoMinis has a games store for Android platforms, PlayScape, which has had 35 million downloads. Its game Ninja Chicken has had 10 million downloads. Through the platform, it is possible to play dozens of different games. According to Flurry, the average playing time is 25 minutes, compared with an average of just eight minutes for mobile games, and 20 minutes on social networks.
