For Investors
The next multi-million dollar opportunity could be germinating in any one of the estimated 3,000 Israeli high-tech start-ups. The Globes Online Technology Guide is designed to help you find it..
The Guide gives sources on research and development projects, on Israel’s internationally respected technology incubator program, and the academic institutions’ technology transfer companies. It also lists organizations whose job it is to match entrepreneurs with investors. Globes [online] itself investigates promising start-ups, and the Guide includes an archive of this feature.
You will also find information on the Israeli government’s program of investment incentives.
For Entrepreneurs
If you are looking for investment or R&D cooperation, or simply trying to get going, the Globes Online Start-up Guide will help you find assistance.
There are links to agencies that provide start-up companies with financial and practical aid. Organizations that promote international cooperation in R&D are listed, and the guide includes a directory of over a hundred venture capital firms operating here.

Using the Guide
- Lists of links on the subject of Israeli high tech are not uncommon on Israel orientated Web sites. The Arena Start-up Guide is different in that it puts the links in context, describing what you will find where. It also gives a great deal of supplementary information, and includes contact details for organizations without Web sites.
- As the navigation bar on the right shows, the Start-up Guide is divided into sections. Wherever you are in the Guide, the navigation bar shows the list of sections, and the contents of the section you are in.
- For greater convenience, external links automatically open a new browser window, leaving the Start-up Guide window open as well, so that you can toggle between the two. Internal links open in the current window, and navigation is via the Back and Forward buttons.
