Taxi e-hail app GetTaxi has announced that it is expanding into six more British cities. The company has already been operating in London for the past three years, one of its first target markets outside of its home base in Israel.
The service is being introduced in Edinburgh, Liverpool and Manchester this week with the launch in Birmingam, Leeds and Glasgow in the next few months.
GetTaxi also operates in New York, Moscow, St. Petersburg and cities throughout Israel.
GetTaxi UK CEO Remo Gerber said, "Demand for the app elsewhere in the UK has always been there and we've decided now is the right time to expand into these new cities. We’re working closely with regulators, UKTI and drivers to provide the safest and most reliable means to get around.”
GetTaxi provides 24/7 UK customer care, future bookings up to two weeks in advance, safety and security by confirming the driver’s name, photo and vehicle registration to users, cashless payment via credit cards, as well as business accounts. The company has over 2,000 UK corporate customers.
