Hot Mobile attracting most new subscribers

Hot Mobile was the only one of Israel's major mobile operators that had a net gain of subscribers in August.

Hot Mobile Ltd. was the only major Israeli mobile operator to attract a net gain of new subscrivers during August. Bouyed by its unlimited surfing offer, the company attracted 43,137 new subscribers in August and lost 30,637 for a net gain of 12,500. Hot surpassed Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR), which attracted 41,127 and lost 43,657 for a net loss of 2,530 subscribers during the month. Hot is extending its unlimited surfing offer until September 18.

Pelephone Communications Ltd. attracted the most new subscribers during August with 57,737 but also lost the most - 58,774 for a net loss of 1,034 subscribers. Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) lost most subscribers 58,922 and only gained 51,125 subscribers for a net loss of 7,797. With the uncertainty over its future, Golan Telecom Ltd. continues to struggle, gaining only 19,438 new subscribers in August and losing 23,292 for a net loss of 3,854.

Telzar 019 had a net gain of 2,299 subscribers in August and MVNO Rami Levy Chain Stores Hashikma Marketing 2006 Ltd. (TASE:RMLI) unit Rami Levy Communications had a net gain of 427 subscribers.
