The German carrier will increase the number of its weekly flights to Frankfurt and Munich from 31 to 36.
German carrier Lufthansa today announced that it is increasing the frequency of its flights to and from Israel starting from October. The airline will offer 13 weekly flights to Munich and 23 weekly flights to Frankfurt - in total 36 weekly flights instead of the current 31.
Lufthansa Israel general manager Ofer Kisch said that the additional flights were, "a result of increased demands by Israelis in the winter months for flights to Germany as well connection flights on to other destinations including ski resorts in Europe and long haul destinations. This is a record number of flights on these routes, which without any doubt reflects belief in the management of the Lufthansa Group and its operations in Israel."
