Internet video co Oversi wins Montenegro telecom deal

Crnogorski Telekom is the principal provider of telecom services in Montenegro.

Internet video and peer-to-peer caching solutions developer Oversi Ltd. will provide its video cache to Montenegro ISP Crnogorski Telekom. The company did not disclose the size of the deal.

Crnogorski Telekom corporate communications director Miodrag Strugar said, “With the increasing popularity of Internet video, quality of experience has become a major and critical demand from our customers. Oversi’s video cache enables us to provide the optimal video QoE while reducing our bandwidth costs and easing network congestion."

Petah Tikva-based Oversi is run by president and CEO David Tolub. The company's OverCache multi-service platform is a one-stop-shop caching and video acceleration solution for online media content delivery.

Oversi's investors include Carmel Ventures, LabOne Innovations Ltd., Stage One Ventures, Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO) venture capital arm Cisco Ventures, and Siemens AG (NYSE: SI; XETRA: SIE) venture capital arm smac Partners.
