Israel Railways will halt service on six lines south of Tel Aviv Central from April 4-8 due to infrastructure improvements, the company reported today.
The lines that will close are: Tel Aviv-Jeruslaem; Tel Aviv-Beersheva; Tel Aviv-Ashkelon; Tel Aviv-Rehovot; Tel Aviv-Rishon Lezion Rishonim; and Beersheva-Dimona.
The following stations will be closed: Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Kfar Habad, Lod Ganei Aviv, Lod, Rishon Lezion Rishonim, Beer Yaakov, Rehovot, Yavne, Ashdod Ad Halom, Ashkelon, Kiryat Gat, Ladavim, Ben Gurion University, Beersheva, and Dimona.
The improvements implemented will advance the project reduce traveling time from Tel Aviv to Beersheva to 50 minutes. Improvements to Lod station will increase train capacity on the Ayalon lines in Tel Aviv.
