Low cost carrier easyJet plc (LSE: EZJ) is planning three weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Berlin, "Yediot Ahronot" reports. easyJet has reportedly asked the Israel Airports Authority to reserve three weekly slots for landings and takeoffs to launch the Tel Aviv-Berlin line starting February 2014.
easyJet already operates regular flights between Ben Gurion airport and five European destinations - Luton and Manchester in the UK, Geneva and Basel in Switzerland, and most recently Rome, Italy.
easyJet commented in response, "We are always looking for new opportunities and we have always said that we are willing to develop our operations to and from Tel Aviv as part of the "Open Skies" policy. Any announcement will be made in due time."
