Low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced it is launching a new route from Ben Gurion International Airport to Lviv, Ukraine starting April 1. Seats are available from as low as €29.99 (one way, including all taxes) on the carrier's website.
This is the seventh route being offered by Wizz Air, which only began operating out of Ben Gurion Airport last December. The airline said that it has already carried 100,000 passengers on its six existing routes to four countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
Wizz Air already operates flights from Tel Aviv - to Budapest in Hungary, Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca in Romania, Vilnius in Lithuania, and Warsaw and Katowice in Poland.
Wizz Air corporate communications manager Daniel de Carvalho said, "We have enjoyed phenomenal growth and added new routes to our network. In one year we have increased the number of seats on sale on our Tel Aviv routes by almost 6 times, which shows the popularity of Wizz Air flights in Israel."
