The Tel Aviv fast lane has raised the maximum toll from NIS 85 to NIS 97. However, the minimum toll on the 13 kilometer stretch of Road 1 from Ben Gurion Airporrt to Tel Aviv remains NIS 7. Only last year the company raised the maximum toll from NIS 75 to NIS 85. The average toll price during the most congest period of the day from 6 am 10 am is NIS 30.
When the fast lane opened in early 2011, the operators expected an average 1,600 cars daily but that number has reached 4-5,000.
Buses and taxis and cars with more than four people can travel for free.
The toll is adjusted according to a dynamic algorithm with a higher price charged the more cars that enter the lane.
