The Africa-Israel unit will build the 23-kilometer line in the Western Galilee

Danya Cebus Ltd. (TASE: DNYA), the contracting arm of Africa-Israel Investments Ltd. (TASE:AFIL), controlled by Lev Leviev, has won the NIS 140 million tender by Israel National Roads Company Ltd. to build the 23-kilometer railway line between Akko and Carmiel in the Western Galilee.

The company will also build stations at Ahihud Junction and road overpasses. Together with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), it will also dig a tunnel under Har Gilon west of Carmiel.

The planning and construction will take two years.

Danya Cebus CEO Ronen Ginzburg said, "Winning this tender follows a number of other projects, including the Har Gilon tunnel, the construction of an overpass at Tishbi Junction, and the pier at Em Hamoshava (in Petah Tikva) for the Tel Aviv light railway.
