The Israeli company is launching its cloud-based system, integrating human resources, benefits, pension, auto enrolment and data.

Human resources management software developer Hibob has closed a $7.5 million financing round from Bessemer Venture Partners, LocalGlobe and angel investors.

Hibob is launching its cloud-based system, which integrates human resources, benefits, pension, auto enrolment and data in one secure online data storage platform. The company says its technology provides insights and helps businesses make better decisions, improving staff engagement and retention,

The company was formed in 2015 and among the founders is CEO Ronni Zehavi, who previously sold website and mobile acceleration company Cotendo to Akamai for nearly $300 million in 2011. Hibob’s platform is aimed at HR departments for companies employing up to 300 people, with its market focus on the UK.

The company's most unique feature is an automated function that identifies employees in need of pension consulting or advice on health insurance. Hibob has 40 employees half of whom are in Tel Aviv and half in London. Despite its focus on the British market, Zehavi said the company planned to expand its Israel R&D operations.

Zehavi and Hibob’s CSO Andy Bellas told "Techcrunch" that the company is targeting SMEs with a people-centric HR platform that is largely competing with Excel spreadsheets and other arcane methods in which small businesses attempt to manager their employees.
