Workforce management solutions developer Synel Industries Ltd. (TASE: SNEL) subsidiary Synel MLL PayWay Ltd. will supply a student attendance and monitoring solution for the Johanna Jabotinsky Youth Town high school in Beer Yaakov. The company's Access2School software enables the school administration to notify parents by SMS and/or e-mail in real time if their children are absent or late.
Synel developed its Access2School program to register, monitor, and document students, staff, and visitors' attendance at schools in real time. The system is operated by badges worn by the students and others.
Johanna Jabotinsky Youth Town high school has more than 1,000 students, most of whom arrive by school bus. The school provides breakfast and lunch, purchased in advance. The school needed a computer system for efficient management of students' attendance and their meal needs. Until now, this was handled manually.
The Access2School program will be installed at the school's entrance. The program reads the students' badges, enabling the school administration to know in real time how many students are present, and therefore how many meals are needed.
At the start of the school day, and at a selected hour afterwards, information about absent and late students is relayed to the school administration's system, which sends the SMS alerts to the students' parents.
Synel Industries' share rose 6.7% by midday today to NIS 10.66, giving a market cap of NIS 56 million.
