Workforce mgmt co Synel wins Texaco biometric deal

The firm will supply attendance systems for gasoline stations in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.

Workforce management technology firm Synel Industries Ltd. (TASE: SNEL) has won a tender for computerized biometric attendance for Texaco gasoline stations in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.

The bid totals about €150,000.

Synel said the project was won by its Synel UK and France unit.

Synel UK managing director Danny Ferber said the company will supply and install 140 biometric fingerprint points, which will be integrated with Synel’s Harmony workforce management software system.

The new system replaces the old manual system previously used by Texaco.

Other Synel customers in the petroleum field include Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL), Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG), and the Pi Glilot terminal.

So far in 2010, Synel shares are up 46%. They closed yesterday unchanged at NIS 14.65.
