Employee attendance and management system developer Synel Industries Ltd. (TASE: SNEL) partner La Competencia SA will implement a time and attendance system for a major poultry producer in Ecuador.
The customer, Pronaca, operates food processing plants in major cities and distribution centers across Ecuador. Synel said that Pronaca, with 40 locations and 6,000 employees, is the third largest company in Ecuador. Pronaca also processes a wide variety of other foods such as fish, eggs and frozen foods.
La Competencia will expand Pronaca's computerized time and attendance system. The project includes the installation of 80 Synel SY-765 terminals in addition to the incorporation of 30 SY-760 terminals that had already been operating at some Pronaca sites.
The estimated time frame for completion of the project is the second quarter of 2011.
Synel separately announced that it will supply biometric fingerprint attendance systems to over 100 schools of “Amal” - a network of educational institutions throughout Israel engaged in the advancement of comprehensive and technological education for tens of thousands of youth and adults.
Synel shares closed yesterday at NIS 12.30.
