Nimrodi plans 27-story tower on Ma'ariv site

Ofer Nimrodi has submitted a request to change the site's urban building plan.

Ofer Nimrodi plans to build a 27-story tower on the site of Hebrew daily "Ma'ariv" building on Carlebach Street in Tel Aviv, according to an application for a to change to the urban building plan which was submitted to the Tel Aviv Municipality.

The site is currently occupied by a four-story building over the entrance floor. The urban building plan allows for a seven-story office building.

The request is in line with the outline plan for Tel Aviv, especially taking into account similar projects nearby and the route of the light railway under construction in the city. The nearby Tel Aviv wholesale market project has obtained permits for high-density construction.

A few years ago, the landowners requested to build a 20-story office building, but the project came to nothing.
