WhiteSmoke launches translation product

The WhiteSmoke Translator is a multilanguage dictionary that can translate single words or text in Word format, e-mails, messenger, and social networks.

Israeli-US English writing software developer WhiteSmoke Inc. has launched the WhiteSmoke Translator product. The product is a multilanguage dictionary that can translate single words or text in Word format, e-mails, messenger, and social networks.

The WhiteSmoke Translator is currently in beta version. The company says that it will be launched in 55 languages by year-end, including Hebrew, Arabic, and Chinese. The translator translates the word or text into the target language, offering synonyms, and even antonyms.

WhiteSmoke CEO Hilla Ovil-Brener said, "The WhiteSmoke Translator targets professional translators, people who work in a multilingual environment, and people learning English. The service offers translations of a range of texts at various levels and supplements current language solutions."

WhiteSmoke VP R&D Liran Brener added, "We developed a translation algorithm over several years. We're proud to launch this innovative and sophisticated translation system that is based on artificial intelligence of text comprehension."

WhiteSmoke VP marketing Amit Greener said, "This is a tool that can easily and comfortably bypass the language barrier."

According to IVC Online, WhiteSmoke has raised $6 million to date from Kreos Capital, Earlybird Venture Capital, Runway Telecom Fund, Evolution Fund LP, Kaedan Capital Ltd., and private investors.
