Israeli business information systems provider Amdocs Ltd. (NYSE: DOX) saw its work force climb 10.7% to 24,950 in the 2015 financial year, an examination of its form 20-F shows. The number of employees in Israel rose 4.7% or 210 in absolute terms, to 4,709. However in terms of Amdocs entire work force the percentage of employees in Israel fell from 20% to 18.9%. Moreover, Amdocs now has 9,301 employees in India, 37% of the company's overall work force, and almost double the number of Israeli employees.
With a market cap of $8.2 billion, Amdocs led by CEO Eli Gelman, saw its share price rise 26% in the 2015 financial year. The year also saw the company become more dependent on its largest customers. A.T & T alone was responsible for 34% of revenue or $1.24 billion compared with 33% the previous year.
Amdocs' largest 10 customers who include Bell Canada, Deutsche Telekom, Singtel, Sprint, Telefonica and Vodafone accounted for 72% of revenue, $2.62 billion, compared with 73% in 2014.
The 20-F report also shows that Amdocs paid $268 million for the billings division of Comverse Inc., slightly less than originally reported.
