Discount Investment Corporation (TASE: DISI), controlled by Eduardo Elsztain, has bought 25% of Yaakov Shalom (Shulem) Fisher and Matthew Bronfman's stake in Shufersal Ltd. (TASE:SAE). Discount Investment has been provided with the option of buying further 25% of Fisher and Bronfman's shares, at an exercise price identical to the price at which the shares were bought today. The aforementioned option involved 9 million additional shares at the same price. Shufersal's share price has risen 1% today, and is traded at about the price Discount Investment acquired it. At present, Discount Investment has a 53% stake in Shufersal; after the acquisition and after it exercises the option, it will hold 61% of the shares.
